Hey, God! I'm the greatest!
Children's Activity
Today's reading is another very easy one for children to understand. There are two very different characters in the story: one who is humble and one who is arrogant. Each man has sinned and needs forgiveness. The Pharisee doesn't get forgiven for his sins. He arrogantly assumes that he has no sins, so he sees no need to ask for forgiveness. The tax collector, on the other hand, is humble. He knows he has sinned. He asks for forgiveness and is forgiven. Jesus is very clear about which one we should be like. We should not think of ourselves too highly.
