Children's Activity

SHARING THIS WEEK'S GOSPEL THEME AT SUNDAY SCHOOL AND AT
HOME
Materials:
Thin ribbon
Round lollipops
Plain white tissues
Markers
Silver pipe cleaners
Glue
Aluminum foil
Directions:
1. Give each of the children a ten- to twelve-inch length of thin ribbon, a lollipop, and a tissue.
2. Instruct the children to put the lollipops into the center of their tissues and fold the tissue up around the balls of the lollipops.
3. Have the children tie their ribbons lightly around the tissues to hold the ball in place.
4. Instruct the children to tie their ribbons into bows.
5. Let the children use markers to make faces just above the bows.
6. Give each of the children a five-inch piece of silver pipe cleaner.
7. Tell the children to twist one end of the pipe cleaners to form circle haloes.
8. Have the children glue their haloes to the back of the heads of their "angels."
9. Give each of the children another length of ribbon to loop and glue to the back of the angel's head to hang it with.
10. Give each of the children a piece of aluminum foil.
11. Have the children shape wings from the foil and glue these to the backs of their angels.
