Be on Jesus' team
Children's Activity
Object:
Materials:
Digital camera
Printer (to print a picture for each child)
Popsicle sticks
Glue
Sequins, beads, feathers, any other small related objects
Permanent marker (like a Sharpie)
Yarn or hanging wire
Directions:
Ask all of the children in your class to stand together and take a picture with a digital camera. (This may need to be done the week before you use the actual picture.) Print enough photos so each student has his/her own.
Create a picture frame by gluing four popsicle sticks together in a square shape. Let them dry for a few minutes so that they won't fall apart while the children are working on the other parts of the craft.
Give the children different types of things to decorate their frames. They may want to use sequins, beads, yarn, or any other small objects. Glue these to the sides and bottom parts of the frames.
When the frames are dry, give each child a copy of the picture and help him/her glue his/her frame to the picture of the class.
At the top of the frame, write the statement, "We are Jesus' team!" in permanent marker.
Attach a piece of yarn or wire on the back of each frame so that each child can hang his/her picture up in his/her room at home.
