Children's Activity
Materials:
Styrofoam cups
Potting soil
Marigold seeds
Markers or decorations and glue
Directions:
1.
Give each child a styrofoam cup and help them write their names on their cups.
2.
Allow the children to use the markers or decorations and glue to decorate their cups, making sure not to cover up their names.
3.
Help the children fill their cups with some potting soil.
4.
Give the children each several marigold seeds and instruct them to push them into the soil in their cups.
5.
Help the children water their seeds with a small amount of water.
6.
Let the children take their cups home and tell them to be sure to check to see if the soil needs water every three or four days. These will be beautiful plants just in time for Mother's Day.
