Children's Activity
SHARING THIS WEEK'S GOSPEL THEME AT SUNDAY SCHOOL AND AT
HOME
Materials:
Cardstock
Markers
Stickers
Things to send to Iraq such as bags of candy, small stuffed animals, children's books, crayons and paper, or any other supply that a young child would like
Directions:
1. Ask the children what kinds of things they do with their friends.
2. Tell the children that they are going to make a card for a friend that they do not even know.
3. Give the children a piece of cardstock and have them fold it in half to make a card.
4. Have them write "Jesus loves you" on the outside and decorate the card as they see fit.
5. Have the children write a personal message to an Iraqi child on the inside.
6. Tell the children that they are going to be good Samaritans and help their neighbors far away.
7. Mail the supplies to a soldier or an organization such as Operation Give.
