"Jesus Loves The Little Children"
Good morning, boys and girls. Have you ever stopped to think
about all the things that your parents do for you? They take care
of you when you are sick. They prepare meals for you. They take
you places. What other things do parents do for you? (Let them
answer.) Parents do all these things because they love you. You
are their children. The Bible tells us that someone else loves us
too. We are someone else's children. Who would that someone else
be? (Let them answer.) We are children of God. If our parents
love us so much and do so much for us, imagine how much God must
love us to do so much for us.
There's a song many of you may know. It tells us that Jesus loves children too. I asked (name the person) to sing one verse for you. Then I'd like to have you (or invite the congregation also to sing) the verse with us.
(At this point have your singer sing.)
"Jesus loves the little children,
all the children of the world.
Red and yellow, black and white,
they are precious in his sight.
Jesus loves the little children of the world."
I'd like us all to try singing. Will you join with us to sing this verse? (Sing it again.)
This week I want you to remember that your parents love you very much. You are children of your parents. Someone else loves you very much. That someone is God. You and I and everyone in this church this morning is a child of God.
