SHARING THIS WEEK'S GOSPEL THEME AT SUNDAY SCHOOL AND AT
HOME
Materials:
White paper
Cookie sheets or large trays
Cold coffee or tea (about 1/2 cup per child)
Hair dryer
Markers
Copy of the Ten Commandments
Directions:
1. Give each of the children a piece of white paper and them have rip the edges to give it an old, textured look.
2. Instruct the children to ball the paper up as tightly as possible.
3. Have the children straighten the paper back out and lay it on a cookie sheet or large tray.
4. Ask the children to pour the coffee or tea over their papers. Move the papers as needed to be sure the entire sheet is covered.
5. Let the papers sit for three to five minutes to allow the papers to absorb color.
6. Help the children carefully pour the liquid off.
7. Without lifting the papers, help the children dry them using a hair dryer for about five minutes on high; then on low until they are completely dry.
8. Tell the children to write the Ten Commandments on their scrolls.
