SHARING THIS WEEK'S GOSPEL THEME AT SUNDAY SCHOOL AND AT
HOME
Materials:
Construction paper
Markers
Directions:
1. Group the children into pairs.
2. Have one of the children place his/her right hand with fingers together, on the left side of the paper.
3. Direct the other child to trace the hand on the paper.
4. Have the first child place his/her left hand with fingers together, on the right side of the paper. Make sure the little finger is directly against the traced little finger.
5. Again, have the partner trace the other hand.
6. Repeat with the children switching roles, so that each child can make a set of praying hands to take home.
7. Have the children cut out the hands without cutting down the line between the two hands (where the little fingers adjoin). Then help the children fold down the middle of the two hands so that they form praying hands.
8. Help the children write, "I will remember to pray for God's forgiveness and blessing" on the inside of the hands.
