SHARING THIS WEEK'S GOSPEL THEME AT SUNDAY SCHOOL AND AT
HOME
Materials:
Index cards with one word from today's memory verse written on each card (one set for each group)
Prizes
Directions:
1. Divide the children into groups with an even number of members in each group if possible.
2. Give each group one set of cards.
3. Have the groups race to put the memory verse into the correct order.
4. Give a small prize to the winning team.
5. Repeat as time allows.
Variations:
1. Create one set of cards and give each of the children one of the cards. Have the children place themselves in the proper order, according to the verse.
2. Hide the cards around the room and challenge the children to find them before they can put them in order.
3. Scramble the letters and have the children "solve" the verse. This variation works well with small groups of older children.
