Finding God Through Jesus
Children's Activity
Object:
Teachers: If your students like puzzle mazes this verse offers
you the change to create one for each of them to solve. Once they
solve yours, and see how the maze works, you can help them create
their own maze for friends to solve. The scripture tells us that
no one comes to the Father except through Jesus. Create a maze
and make a copy for each student. The starting point of the maze
is the student's name. At the ending point write the word "God."
Before the word "God" in your maze, write the word "Jesus." For
the student to get to the finish (to find God) she must go
through "Jesus" just as the scripture states. At the top of the
maze sheet write a phrase from the lesson. It might be "I am the
way," or "No one comes to the Father except through me."
After your students solve your maze give them each a blank sheet of paper. Have them create their own puzzle maze. Suggest they set up theirs like yours. The student's name should be at the start, God at the finish and Jesus before God.
As an option for students who finish early, suggest they decorate the sheet on the outside of the maze.
Parents: Your child created a puzzle maze for you or a family member to solve. Work with your child to create more mazes. Mazes you create may vary from the one created in Sunday school. The goals of these mazes are to find God through Jesus.
