Hands folded in prayer (figurine, picture or actual)
When we pray we often fold our hands like this, don't we? What
are some kinds of things we might pray for? (Let them answer.)
The Apostle Paul and his friend Timothy prayed for the people at
the church of Colossae. When they prayed for them, they always
thanked God for them as well.
We can be thankful for many things: a home, church, school, the country we live in. We can be especially thankful for the people who love us: family members, friends, teachers, and others. We can thank God for people.
It is a wonderful thing to thank God for all the good in our lives -- especially the people in our lives. They are important and we are glad that God has given them to us.
I'm thankful to God for you! In my prayers I thank God that I know you. Thank you for helping me illustrate the importance of people in our lives this morning. You are surely important people in my life! I thank our God for you!
