Children's Activity
Materials:
Fish pattern(s) large enough to fit an 8.5" x 11" piece of paper
Heavy paper (like poster board) in nice colors
Scissors
Pencils, markers
Baggies with zip-tops
Directions:
1.
Give the children each a fish pattern and have them trace around the patterns on their papers.
2.
Help the children cut out the fish they have made. Instruct the children to write the verse, "Have you anything here to eat?" with a marker or pencil on their fish. Then have them draw puzzle shapes around the words and the rest of the fish.
3.
Help the children cut along the lines of their puzzle pieces and place them into a pile.
4.
Have the children then put their fish puzzles back together.
5.
Give the children each a zip-top baggie to place their puzzle pieces in so they may take them home.
