I am the good shepherd
Children's Activity
Object:
Teachers: Today's lesson is about Jesus the good shepherd.
Help your students create a marshmallow sheep. For this project
you need a bag of large marshmallows, a bag of mini-marshmallows
and three toothpicks for each student. An optional cupcake paper
may be used to hold the sheep.
To make your sheep example use the large marshmallow for the body. Break two toothpicks in half. Stick them in the body as the four legs. Break the other toothpick in half. Attach a mini- marshmallow on each. Stick these in the body as the head and the tail. Place your sheep in the cupcake paper for safe delivery to your students' homes.
Parents: Your child created a marshmallow sheep. This is based on the lesson that Jesus is the good shepherd. Give your child some marshmallows, mini-marshmallows and toothpicks to enable her to make a family of sheep.
