It gets better
Children's Activity
SHARING THIS WEEK'S GOSPEL THEME AT SUNDAY SCHOOL AND AT
HOME
Materials:
White flowers (carnations or daisies are a good choice)
Plastic beverage cups
Markers
Water (tap)
Food coloring (a few different colors)
Directions:
1. Give each of the children a flower and a plastic cup. Tell them to write their names on their cups, then fill each halfway up with water.
2. Allow the children to select one of the colors of food coloring.
3. Help the children drip three to five drops of the coloring into the water in their cups.
4. Have the children carefully place their flowers upright into the water.
5. Line the cups up and allow them to sit until the children are ready to go home -- this would be a good time to read them a story.
6. Instruct the children to watch what happens to their flowers. Like Jesus' turning water into wine, their flowers will show an amazing change. The flowers will continue to change after they take them home.
