Jesus is the real thing!
Children's Activity
Object:
Materials
Polaroid camera and film
Instructions
Take a Polaroid picture of each child.
As the pictures develop, talk with the children about discovering the difference between the real thing and a substitute for the real thing. John the Baptist told everyone that Jesus was the real Messiah, the one for whom they had been waiting. John said that he himself was not the real Messiah and that people should look to Jesus.
Give each of the children their photographs. They can see that the photos are of them and that in them they are wearing the same clothes they have on. But which is the real thing: the photo or the little person in the flesh?
The photos may be put on the classroom bulletin board, or the children may take them home.
