Children's Activity
SHARING THIS WEEK'S GOSPEL THEME AT SUNDAY SCHOOL AND AT HOME
Materials:
Waxed paper
Paper plates
White bread slices
School glue
Water
Food coloring
Small buttons or wiggly eyes
Clear sealant (optional)
Directions:
1. Create a work surface by having the children lay out waxed paper over their paper plates.
2. Remove the crust from the bread slices and give one slice to each child.
3. Mix one tablespoon of glue and one tablespoon of water per child and place this on each slice of bread and have the children mix them until the mixture is no longer sticky.
4. Add food coloring to make the desired color(s).
5. Have children shape their dough into fish shapes.
6. Place buttons or wiggly eyes in place.
7. Allow the dough to dry. The dough should dry overnight.
8. A clear sealant could be added to preserve the creation.
