A paycheck or a paycheck stub
God gives us wonderful gifts and one gift I am so thankful for
is the gift of my job -- my calling. Because of what I do, I get
paid. This is a paycheck for my work. I am thankful for that. But
I am thankful for many, many things about my job. (Share some of
your responsibilities in whatever line of work you are engaged
in.) God has given me this job.
I have another job that is the same as yours. It is the same job that the apostle Paul had. You see, I am also a "servant according to the gift of God's grace." I get to serve the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God. What a privilege! What a great job! It is a gift!
This is "Epiphany" which is a big word meaning that God has shared this privilege, this job, with people like you and me and the apostle Paul. God has opened up a wonderful opportunity for us -- to become God's servants.
Dear God: Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to work for you. Amen.
