Never hungry
Children's Activity
Object:
SHARING THIS WEEK'S GOSPEL THEME AT SUNDAY SCHOOL AND AT
HOME
Materials:
Squares of paper (copy paper or wrapping paper)
Directions:
1. Have each of the children place his or her paper on the table so it looks like a diamond shape.
2. Tell the children to fold the bottom corners to the top corners of their diamond shapes. The shape will now look like a triangle. Tell them not to move the paper.
3. Instruct the children to fold the left and right corners so they meet in the middle of the opposite edges. The shape will now resemble a pentagon.
4. Tell the children to separate the layers of paper at the top corner, then fold the top layer toward them.
5. Have the children fold the bottom layers to the back of their projects.
6. Instruct the children to place their fingers in the openings at the tops of their papers to open their "cups."
7. Help the children fill their cups with water from a drinking fountain or faucet (low pressure!) and take a drink, while remembering that those who thirst for righteousness shall be filled.
8. The younger children may need help with folding the correct sections.
