Produce aisle
Children's Activity
Object:
SHARING THIS WEEK'S GOSPEL THEME
AT SUNDAY SCHOOL AND AT HOME
Materials:
Good and bad produce (tomatoes, onions, green beans, apples, bananas, strawberries, and so on)
Directions:
Show the children each kind of fruit and vegetables and ask them to choose which are good and which are bad. If desired, divide the class into smaller groups and assign each group a pair of good/bad produce. Ask the children to show which is good and which is bad and tell why they think so. Talk about what makes produce good (firmness, good color, no bruises) and what makes produce bad (bruises, mold, discoloration, wrong consistency). Talk about how we should produce good fruit for God by doing the right thing and showing his love every day.
