A seed multiplies
Children's Activity
Object:
Materials
Small seeds (grass seed is a good choice)
Small Styrofoam cups
Potting soil
Water
Instructions
Talk with children about the idea that our lives are like seeds that sprout, grow into plants, produce seeds, and eventually die. We trust God and Jesus that we will go on to be something different and better with God in a new family in heaven.
Help the children fill the cups with potting soil and add a few seeds. Cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil and add some water. Label each cup with the child's name. Place the cups in a sunny window to check the next Sunday, or send the cups home with the children. Remind them to check the cups every day and to add a small amount of water every other day.
