Children's Activity
SHARING THIS WEEK'S GOSPEL THEME AT SUNDAY SCHOOL AND AT HOME
Materials:
Dessert-sized paper plates, two per child
Large craft stick, one per child
Markers/crayons
Glue
Construction paper mouths, noses, and eyes
Directions:
1. Give the children each two paper plates.
2. Have the children draw a happy face on one of the paper plates or they can glue the mouths, noses, and eyes on them.
3. Have the children draw a sad face on the other paper plate or glue on the construction paper features.
4. Instruct the children to glue the plates to the craft stick, one on each side.
Give the children scenarios and have them hold up the side of their paper-plate faces that reflects the emotion they would feel in that situation. Examples:
* Someone shares a toy with you.
* You are hungry.
* Someone calls you a mean name.
* You go to church.
