HOME
Materials:
Craft foam
Pencils
Scissors
Craft sticks
Glue
Scraps of construction paper, craft foam, and other materials for decorating (pre-cut foam shapes work well with younger children)
Markers
Directions:
1. Give each of the children a piece of craft foam and help them draw a basic house shape on the back of the foam. Use a pencil so that they can correct their mistakes. A precut pattern can be used for younger children.
2. Help the children cut their houses from the foam.
3. Give each of the children two craft sticks and help them glue a stick on each side of the house's roof point to resemble the eaves.
4. Allow the children to decorate their houses as they see fit.
5. Help the children write "Welcome" somewhere on the house and remind them that they are always welcome at God's house.
