SHARING THIS WEEK'S GOSPEL THEME AT SUNDAY SCHOOL AND AT
HOME
Materials:
Small ball (soft, like a foam ball or a beach ball)
Directions:
1. Have the children sit in a circle on the floor.
2. State the first word of today's memory verse and toss the ball to one of the children who must say the next word.
3. This child then passes the ball on to another child who must say the third word of the verse.
4. Play continues until the entire verse has been recited.
5. Begin again, with the last person with the ball saying the first word before passing it on.
This can be used with any verse or theme. For example, the children might practice the books of the Bible or the names of the disciples in this manner.
