Who is Jesus, really?
Children's Activity
Object:
Materials
Craft foam
Craft scissors
Crayons
Unlined white paper
Markers
Stapler
Magazines
Instructions
Help each child make a scrapbook displaying the different roles that Jesus plays. Give the children magazines and scissors and have them look for and cut out words or pictures of things that Jesus does in the lives of people. For example: healer (a picture of a doctor or nurse), provider (food, shelter, clothes), friend (heart), etc. They should then glue the pictures to precut sheets (2 x 4 works well) of unlined paper. Let them cut 2 small pieces (just slightly larger than unlined paper) of craft foam for the front and back of the scrapbook (cut with craft scissors for a fun edge). Then place the white sheets inside the pieces of foam and staple. The children can decorate the fronts of their scrapbooks however they see fit.
