All of us have probably...

All of us have probably arrived at our own, personal Cana during our lifetimes. It is the place where we encounter God in the ordinary things of life and come away with our faith strengthened. At Cana in Galilee, Jesus used his creative power to turn water into wine --and superb wine at that! It doesn't matter whether it is wine and water, bread and fish, or troubled minds and broken bodies: Jesus transforms and glorifies everything in human life. Then we see his glory and believe.
A young couple, who were new Christians, suffered a terrible financial setback due to illness. The husband was unable to work, and the wife's wages hardly made a dent in the mountain of bills. Jesus, however, was Lord of their lives, and he was the only one who knew how desperate their situation really was. One day they had no food. No one knew that their refrigerator and cupboards were practically bare. During the day, a relative arrived, carrying two bags of groceries. As he put them on the table, he said, "I don't know why, but I just felt that you could use these things." Everything they needed was there, including the right brand of cat food!
Sometimes Jesus doesn't turn water into wine when he visits at our own, personal Cana. Sometimes he turns nothing into something; we see his creative power and glory ... and we accept him in complete confidence!
