Angie and Mike were a couple that people of all ages liked and admired. They were active in their church. They took an interest in their community. If anyone needed help, they were there to give it -- together. Angie and Mike did everything together. If you saw one, the other was sure to be close. No one could remember a time when it hadn't been that way. They were as much in love after 53 years of marriage as they had been when they first started dating in school. Then one night, Mike and Angie were in a car accident. Mike was killed instantly while Angie suffered only minor cuts and bruises. No one knew how Angie was going to live without Mike. When they saw her at the funeral home, they were even more concerned. Angie kept one hand over her eyes. She refused to look anywhere. Even when she was at home, something was over her eyes. She wore a dark veil to the funeral service. Everyone was worried. Not even a visit from the minister helped. Angie refused to see -- refused to accept Mike's death. Refused to talk about Christ's resurrection. Refused to acknowledge that she was grieving. Two weeks later Angie died. Some said that she died of a broken heart. Those who attended her funeral service took comfort in the fact that since Christ was raised, then all would be raised.
