C)A trip...

A trip into a far country is experienced in many ways. Probably most common is that which thoroughly plays havoc with our plans and comfortable routines.
What basketball player worth his (or her) salt wants to sit out most of a season because of a broken ankle? What model wants to lose her place in the world of advertising because of an unplanned pregnancy? What farmer wants to watch his acres of corn being washed away by flood waters? What preacher wants one of his really well-prepared sermons to be heard by the lowest attendance in months?
Far countries come to all of us. Some are more severe than others. Jesus' trek into Egypt had divine purpose. In a sense, don't all of them have a purpose?
The bleakest hours of the Christian faith took place at the time of the crucifixion. Without it, there could have been no triumphant resurrection.
