The chaplain at a large state university died suddenly of a heart attack in late October. He was highly regarded by the students who came faithfully each Sunday to hear him preach. They would tell their friends about him and how he seemed to know exactly what they had been thinking and experiencing all week. The students said his sermons were incredible and right on target with their lives. They wanted to keep his words and spirit alive for themselves and also to share with others who may not have heard him. However, he never wrote his sermons out verbatim. So they tracked down some students who happened to tape a few of the sermons. They had the tapes transcribed and then were able to print a few of his sermons in a booklet as a way of remembering. -- Lynch
