Chaplain Trent called on Kay...

Chaplain Trent called on Kay for two days. She remained in the hospital after surgery
discovered she was, as her husband said, "full of cancer." Kay, however, wasn't very
communicative with Trent.
On the day she was to return home, presumably to die soon, Trent tried again with long pauses to help Kay to share her thoughts and feelings. She said, "I've followed Jesus since I was twelve -- in my family, as a teacher, and in my neighborhood. I just don't think this is what's coming to me."
"Feel like you want to quarrel with God?" Trent asked.
"Yes."
"Maybe it feels like a test?"
"If it is," Kay said, "I sure disagree with whoever wrote it."
"If I can leave you with anything," Trent said, "the Bible shows it's okay to disagree with God and especially helpful if you tell God so."
