The Christian is called to make prayer a regular part of daily life. Unfortunately, the practice for some, including some believers, has degenerated to the point that only of fear or frustration do supplications arise.
An extreme example of this perverse use of prayer comes from Tommy Bolt, a golfer known for his graceful swing and terrible temper. On one occasion, he missed six putts in a row, in each case standing by helplessly as the ball rolled across the lip of the hole and refused to drop in.
Finally, in desperation, Bolt raised his fist and shoot it at heaven, shouting, "Why don't you come on down and fight like a man!"
