Christianity is not a faith of individuals. We are encouraged to bind ourselves together in communities and thereby strengthen one another in the faith. In the end time, Christians are all residents of a city, the New Jerusalem. Often times we ask, "Why go to church?" and seek an answer in terms of, "What can it do for me?" The real questions are: "How can my joining a congregation benefit those who I come in contact with? How can I help others to abound in love?" As we await the coming of Christ, we join together in anticipation, praying exceedingly and helping perfect in others what they may be lacking. That is the life of a Christian.
