As the church conflict increased...

As the church conflict increased, people became more and more frustrated. Everyone professed to have faith in Jesus. Everyone claimed to want to be the best for the church. But as the congregation tried to make changes, it seemed that there were always a few people who would undermine progress.
A pattern developed. It seemed as if it was always the same few people who got in the way, sometimes using unethical tactics. But unable really to confront them, people in the congregation simply grew more and more frustrated. In the end, a few were forced to conclude that not everyone in church was equally on God's side, but it would take a long time to sort all of that out.
