Colorado was kicking around the idea of passing a new state law. That law would require churches to pay property taxes. The only exception would be churches that could prove that they were providing a significant service to the public. But isn't that what churches are supposed to be about? Yet, if that law eventually passed, how many churches would fail that test? What would that say about what has become of the Christian Church here in America? James reminds us to be doers of the word and not just hearers. -- Bowen
