Corla Hawkins of Chicago had a dream that God wanted her to rescue children who were rejected. So "Mamma Hawk," as she is called by her students, founded the Recovering the Gifted Children Academy. Even though it is a public school on Chicago's west side, Hawkins, a devout Christian, teaches the children Gospel songs, encourages them to pray, and has them memorize Bible verses. She has transformed the 45 children presently enrolled into well-functioning young people and has even legally adopted some rejected children as her own. God in his great love for us has sought us and rescued us through Jesus Christ that we should be his children and heirs of eternal life. This transformation brings us not only great benefits now, but also a glorious future with him.
