Do you have a good name? What does your name mean? Linda means "pretty one,” Matthew means "gift from God,” Alice (and its various forms Alicia, Ally, Allison) is from the Greek meaning "truthful one,” and John is from the Hebrew meaning "God has been gracious.” Good names! Good meanings! Though sometimes we may refer to our children as "little devils,” there is a reason why parents don't name their babies Devil; it means "slanderer.” Nor do we name our children Satan, which means "the adversary,” or Baalzebub, meaning "Lord of the Flies.” Bad names! Bad meanings!
