Every town has its claim to fame. Driving down the highway, some towns present their claims in large depictions, which stand proudly beside the road. These roadside attractions stand as symbols of the town's identity, and let passersby know something about the history and character of the town.
Some of the more unusual are: a gigantic Paul Bunyan (Bimiji, Minnesota), a huge Muskie that any fishing enthusiast would love to land (Hayward, Wisconsin, and Kenora, Ontario), giant hockey cards depicting NHL players raised in the area (Kelvington, Saskatchewan), a larger than life dinosaur (Rapid City, South Dakota, and Drumheller, Alberta), a potato (O'Leary, Prince Edward Island), and the world's largest catsup bottle (Collinsville, Illinois).
Bethlehem doesn't have an oversized manger beside the highway, but one wonders if it would have if it were located in North America!
