Every young child who has...

Every young child who has become separated from his or her parents at the grocery store knows the fear and the pain of feeling forsaken. At first, as the little one wanders, the world seems an exciting place to be explored. Colorful packaging, big boxes, freezers full of ice cream -- the store is a fascinating place. But at the moment the child realizes he/she is alone and has lost his/her parents a terrible feeling sets in. The child has been forsaken. Of course, a similar feeling of panic hits the parents as they realize their child has been lost. Immediately they begin to wander the aisles, looking and listening for the lost little boy or girl. Both are still connected and both still care deeply. But for a little while, it feels like the most important relationship in the world has been lost.
