A farmer during his slack season went deep-sea fishing on the Gulf of Mexico. The fishing was lousy, but he had a great time anyway. He had never seen that much water before. He was especially impressed with the sunrises and sunsets while they were out on the water. Never before had he been able to observe the entire horizon as the sun made its appearance in the morning and disappeared from sight in the evening. Since he had his camera along, he took lots of pictures.
He was anxious to get his film developed when he got back home. The first thing he noticed when he picked up the prints was that his pictures didn't do justice to the experience of being there. It was impossible to capture the entire horizon in a single picture. The second thing he noticed was that he could no longer tell which of his photographs had been of the sunrise and which of the sunset. They both appeared the same.
