God gave his people manna...

God gave his people "manna" to nourish them in their difficult times. Thus were they sustained during their wilderness trials and tribulations.
God still gives spiritual "manna" to feed and strengthen our souls — especially during experiences of testing. In the capitol city of our nation is a place of "manna" located strategically near the halls of government. The place is called Madonna House and is staffed by three Roman Catholic lay workers. Madonna House is a place of silence where busy governmental workers can go "to listen to God;" it is, also, "a place for someone to listen to them." Visitors include Jews and Protestants, as well as Catholics. Some spend lunch breaks or an afternoon. Others spend a whole day or a few minutes in prayer rooms on the second floor. Each is fulfilling the age-old need for the spiritual sustenance only God can supply. How wonderful that God still gives "manna" to tired and discouraged people who turn to him.
