God's Word comes to people...

God's Word comes to people in a variety of ways. Peggy began eating raisins as a young girl and keeps a couple of small boxes of Sun Maid raisins in her purse to have a healthy snack throughout the day. She can't remember when she first noticed it, but she discovered that the Sun Maid individual boxes have short sayings on the flaps at the top of the boxes. The sayings are akin to the ones you find in fortune cookies ... things like "Your name is your parents' gift to you. Live up to it."
Peggy made it a habit to read the sayings whenever she opened a box. One day, as she was teaching the Christmas story to a Sunday school class for third graders, one of the children asked her, "Besides the presents we get, what does Christmas mean?"
After giving this some thought, she remembered the last box of raisins she opened and what it said. "It was God's way of saying to the world, 'You can't imagine all the good things coming to you.' "
Or as the angels, sang, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace...."
