A high school basketball player who had been selected as a first team all stater was being interviewed by a sportscaster in his hometown. "To what do you attribute your confidence, your personal control, and your ability to stay cool in difficult and pressure-filled situations?" With a maturity far beyond his years, the young man replied: "As the prophet Isaiah once said and because of God's great love in my life, my motto has always been: 'In quietness and confidence shall be your strength.' " What a sharp contrast to those who need to brag about their Christian giving, or to make an outward show of their inner spirituality, or whose hearts are in the wrong place. -- Reisen
