Before his conversion to the Christian faith, Augustine had been a promiscuous man. When he came to know Jesus as his Savior, his behavior changed. One day while walking down a street in the north African city of Hippo, of which he became bishop, a sultry voice called out to him from the shadows. "Augustine, come in to me. It is I." To which Augustine replied, "Ah, but it is no longer I." He continued on his way.
