How quickly we discover what...

How quickly we discover what we do not know when we have to explain it to someone else, especially when we know it theoretically and not through experience. The way really to know it is to do it. I well remember that before I was a father I could not explain to anyone how to raise children. I had studied child psychology, read many of the "experts," but still did not really know what I was talking about. Now that I have raised children, I realize how much more I need to learn, but nevertheless, because I have been there and done it, I speak with some authority.
