The Hubble telescope, which modern technology has hurtled into space, is announcing daily the wonders of the Lord. As Hubble peers into deep space at the Egg nebula, which is 3,000 light years from earth, it analyzes gas and dust from a dying star in that corner of the universe. Glancing into the Orion nebula, it records the birth of a star, as the creative hand of God continues to shape the heavens. Science documents the poetic truth of Scripture: "like a cloak you will roll them up, and like clothing they will be changed." The magnitude of God's power is demonstrated in the massive black holes that Hubble sees dotting the universe. One recently discovered black hole is 300 million times the mass of our sun. Amazing! Not only is our appreciation of the magnitude of creation increasing, but also our astonishment that this great God of the cosmos speaks to us -- flecks of dust that we are on a clump of clay hurling through space -- and even comes to us personally in Jesus Christ. Amazing!
