I paid my college tuition...

I paid my college tuition and supported my family by pumping gasoline for a major oil
company. When the corporation began closing its company-operated service stations, it
transferred me to a distributing plant that supplied oil, gasoline, and related supplies to
service station dealers, paint companies, and various businesses. After I'd been at the
plant for a while, I helped a former coworker and friend transfer there. We'd gotten along
well working together in service stations.
Now he seemed inattentive to business. A day or so after he transferred, the boss asked him to fill some large containers with oil. My friend got distracted and soon thick, expensive oil flowed all over the floor. It took hours to clean it. I took the blame for my friend because he was new on the job, and he had a wife and child to support. After his second costly mistake, I refused to take responsibility for it. Jesus took the fall for all of us. And he keeps doing it. At what point should we be ashamed and resolve not to repeat our mistakes?
