A woman had a knee replacement some time ago. She suffered along for several months with the pain of "bone rubbing against bone." The physician took X-rays and gave her a shot or two right into the knee. Finally she made the big decision to have the replacement done. In the doctor's office, the surgeon looked her in the eye and asked, "Do you want to have this done?" With a tear in her eye, she said, "Yes." He explained that he would not be doing it until she really wanted to have it done.
