It seems to me that every year one of my confirmation students asks me a question about evolution and creation, and so when I had a chance to ask an authority, a scientist from NASA, that same question, I used the opportunity.
"What do your colleagues have to say about evolution versus the creation story in Genesis?"
"About 50 percent of my colleagues believe in the theory of evolution," he answered. "They say they are looking for evidence that proves the existence of God. The rest of my colleagues support the creation story as told in Genesis. They say they are looking for evidence that God doesn't exist."
