J. B. Phillips, the New Testament scholar and translator wrote a book called New Testament Christianity. In it Phillips imagined a conversation between a senior and junior angel, who are talking about our planet. They view a dark planet that was once lighted by the presence of Christ, who is the Light. The Light leaves the earth and returns to heaven. But then there are little lights lighting up all over the world. The senior angel pointed out that these were the bright glow that is the company of lower women and men who reflect his glow, and now lights began to shine all over the earth. The junior angel wanted to know how it would turn out and if the lights would join to light up the earth as heaven is lit up. The senior angel could not answer but suggested that though it was painful to watch at times they would have to wait the final outcome. But then the senior angel added, but you can see why this little ball is so important. He has visited it, and he is working his plan in it. The junior angel said he got the point and would never forget it. "This was the visited planet."
