Jake and Larry were having a disagreement and Jake was laying out the facts to Larry. Larry didn't like what he was hearing, so he defended himself. In response to Larry's denials, Jake said, "Hey, if you don't like the truth then make up your own like everybody else." Though, perhaps not good advice, his point is well taken. Each one of us has to decide for himself or herself what is true. Essentially there are two realities: our reality and God's reality. Our individual reality is composed of our hopes and dreams, facts and fictions. God's reality for us is composed of God's perfect will and his plan of redemption in which there are only facts and no fictions.
