James Benedict, in a sermon titled "What is Truth?" tells of a student whom a high school teacher described this way: "I put a problem on the blackboard and asked if anyone could solve it. This student raised his hand. 'I can!' he said. He came forward, took the eraser, and erased the problem away." James raised the issue of truth; the people challenging him simply rubbed it out by insisting that the "old-time religion is good enough for us."
